CHILDLINE is a 24 hour emergency phone outreach service for children in need of care and protection. It also links children in need of care and protection to long term services for rehabilitations. The CHILDLINE India Foundation (CIF) is the central nodal agency for setting up and monitoring the CHILDLINE service. Additionally, CIF is responsible for undertaking process documentation and research, awareness campaigns and advocacy on issues related to strengthening the Childline service in the country.
